Abusites mourn Nura Magawata, A former ABU Overall Best graduating Student
The Abusites family yesterday lost a brother, friend and colleague Mallam Nura Magawata who has been described by many as “a GURU of Nursing, an outstanding Nurse and role model”
Nura Magawata who is a set U07/U08NSABU was the Best graduating student in the Department of Nursing Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria as well as the best overall graduating student (VC’s award) at the faculty in the years 2011/2012 academic session.
Until his death, Nura had worked as a bedside nurse at the Usman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital UDUTH, then tutor at SON, UDUTH before moving to the Federal University of Birnin Kebbi, where he lecturers with the Department of Nursing Sciences. He was an MSc Nursing student at a Malaysian university.

His friend and colleague Ismail Nasiru Gwarzo in his tribute wrote, “Though I lost him to the cold hands of death I didn’t lose him as a ROLE MODEL par excellence. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and make Aljannatil Firdaus as his final abode.”
Also paying his tribute, Tijani Suleiman wrote, “We lost a friend and intellectual Colleague, Nura Magawata. A rare gem among his mates, very material and useful personal with a bright future, and the most intelligent in our class, set of 2003B At College of Nursing and Midwifery science Sokoto.
“We shared with him a unique group of #22studentNursesforprogress during our studentship where we shade more light in our course of the study and even go beyond our lecturer and teachers in the group, he was a leading hero among us.”
We ask the Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcoming, and make Jannatul Firdausi Tobe his final abode, and also his family and friends to bear the fortitude of the lost.
