ABU Student In Boko Haram’s Captivity Regains Freedom After Two Years [Photos]
A student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, identified as Becky Inuwa, who was kidnapped along the Maiduguri expressway has regained freedom after two years.
The Abusites reports that her classmate, Godwin Tanko, via Twitter announced that Becky was kidnapped along Maiduguri road in October 2020.
He had called on well-meaning Nigerians to pray that Becky’s captors released her back to her family.
Sharing her photo, he wrote; “She was kidnapped along Maiduguri Road since October 2020 and up till now we don’t know her whereabouts. Please we need your prayers for Becky Inuwa. Let her Captors release her ijn”
Announcing her release today via the microblogging platform, Godwin noted that Becky was rescued from Boko Haram captivity by the Nigerian army.
He excitedly wrote; “Today I’m celebrating life, I have shed tears of joy for this news, this is my coursemate in ABU, Becky Inuwa who was abducted by Boko Haram terrorists for over two years but has been rescued by our great Nigerian Army.”
“I and other well-meaning Nigerians are grateful to our gallant military men and women who put their lives for our security in this country, thank you, guys, @HQNigerianArmy”
