Prof Auwalu Yadudu: Respected Law Professor & Icon of Law at BUK
Prof Auwalu Yadudu is a renowned Nigerian lawyer, University teacher, Administrator, and distinguished Abusite. He is a very simple, friendly, but highly regarded and disciplined law scholar.
Prof. Yadudu was born in 1953 at Funtua, Katsina State, Nigeria. He attended school of Arabic Studies, kano and proceeded to obtained a diploma in law in 1978 from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He proceeded to obtain his Bachelor of Laws in the same ABU, Zaria in 1979. He obtained both his LLM and Doctor of Judicial Science from the Harvard Law School USA in 1982 and 1985 respectively.

Prof Auwalu Yadudu started his teaching career at Bayero University Kano as an assistant lecturer from 1980 to 1983. Lecturer II from 1983-1985; lecturer 1, 1985-1988, Snr Lecturer 1988-1992, Reader 1992-1996.
Prof Auwalu Yadudu is a Professor of Law since 1997. He was Dean Faculty of Law Bayero University, Kano (BUK) prior to his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State in 2016. He also serves at various times as a member of the Bayero University Senate, and Governing Council.
He has also served at various times with the National Universities Commission; Constituent Assembly, Nigeria bar association, Ahmadu Bello University, University of Jos, University of Maiduguri
Prof Auwalu was former Legal Adviser to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, and President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua. He was a delegate to the National Confab where he served as the Deputy Chairman of the National Conference Standing Committee on Law, Judiciary and Human Rights.
Prof Awalu Hamish Yadudu was selected by the Nigerian Bar Association in 2018 to head its Election committee
He is married with children and his hobbies include computer programming and exploration.
