Dr Sale Murtala Dandashire: See how ABU best graduating medical student 2019 was celebrated by his community
The Ketare community, in Kankara Local Government Area, Katsina state were full of happiness as they celebrated the emergence of one of their youths, Dr Sale Murtala Dandashire, as the overall best graduating medical student at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
The District Head of the town, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara led the accolade of the feat by Dr Sale Murtala Dandashire, saying that he was proud of the achievement which brought honour to the community.
Kankara said since the announcement he has been receiving congratulatory messages from individuals and organizations.
Similarly, a former spokesman of the Nigerian Army Brigadier General Sani Usman Kukasheka (rtd) said the performance has improved the image and prestige of Ketare, Kankara local government, Katsina state and Northern Nigeria.
“The performance of Dr Sale Murtala Dandashire should be celebrated by all and sundry,” he said.
Similarly the Ketare Youth Development Initiative said it was a thing of pride and honour to produce the like of Dr Sale Murtala Dandashire from the area.
In an interview with Arewa Trust Weekly, the father of the young doctor, Sale Dandashire, said he was filled with immense joy to learn that his son emerged as the best graduating student.
He said what made it more unique was the fact that they both graduated from the same university.
“Right when he was in primary school, he has been an excellent student taking first position and at secondary school he was the head boy and still maintained excellent academic performance.’’
Dr Murtala Sale Dandashire told Arewa Trust Weekly that the secret of his success was early preparation and consistency in his studies.
“No matter how little you have to spare every day find time to read,” he said.
He said he also benefitted from mentorship and prayers.
“But I still make time to visit people, engage in physical interaction. What is significant is having a plan that you strictly observe.”
Dr Sale Murtala Dandashire who was the best graduating student in his secondary school – Government Secondary School Kankara also graduated from the School of Basic and Remedial Studies (SBRS) ABU Zaria with 5point. He went on to study Medicine and Surgery in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he emerged as the overall best graduating medical student 2019 and best in Haematology, Community medicine, biochemistry, Anatomy, Surgery, pathology, Histopathology, etc
