ABUSRC President to Abusites: Stay out of harm’s way as you celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr
The Ahmadu Bello University students’ Representative Council (ABUSRC) has called on all abusites to stay out of harm’s way and key into measures deployed by the relevant authorities to stay safe and guard against the spread of Covid-19.
The call was made in a special Eid-ul-Fitr message by the ABUSRC President, Comrade Abubakar Ali Sadeeq to all Abusites around the world particularly the Muslim brethren.
Comrade Abubakar Ali Sadeeq bemoaned the monumental impact of the deadly virus on the world. He particularly grieved for the lives lost while thanking the Almighty Allah that no Abusite has been lost to the Virus.
He encouraged Abusites to believe that this too shall pass away and God Almighty will keep us in good health now and always, and heal our nation and world beyond human imagination.

The statement reads, “As the Muslim world marks the end of the Holy month of Ramadan which is dedicated to month-long down-to-sunset fasting, prayers, and almsgiving, I am pleased to send warm greetings to our Muslim brethren on this occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr
“As you are all aware, today we are faced with a global health challenge: The COVID-19 pandemic. No greater epidemic has befallen mankind in recent memory as such, we must keep out of harm’s way.
“At moments like this, let us key into measures developed by relevant authorities to not only be safe but guard against the spread of the virus. This includes social distancing, good personal hygiene, and the use of face masks as applicable.
“While grieving for the lives lost, we are grateful to the Almighty Allah that no Abusite life has been lost to the Virus. The impact of this scourge has been monumental at home and abroad, including the consequent effect on Eid-ul-Fitr prayers and celebrations.
“As we pray and celebrate at home, I am well persuaded to believe that this too shall pass away and God almighty will keep us all in good health now and always and heal the nation and the world beyond logical imagination.”
The ABUSRC President remind all Abusites to show gratitude to the Almighty Allah for keeping us safe through this trying times and pray to the Almighty Allah to accept all our prayers and forgive our shortcomings
