Tribute by Muhammad Maina

“Everybody is busy uploading pictures of their love ones, friends, and family but I’m here pitifully mourning the death of my friend, who’s extremely close to my heart.

“It was early in the morning when my phone rang severally but I was unable to pick any call, later I communicate with a friend and he told me about her demise, my heart was so thawed.

“I couldn’t resist a single pain, she’s a true darling that we shared a lot of moments for over three years on campus. We virtually eat lunch together in our students’ union office, we laugh and crack jokes.

“What I will never forget is her kindness and generosity towards humanity, despite our political differences during school politics we never quarrel or use abusive words to each other, we support each other and we all won and emerged leaders of African Society of International studies.

“We talked on the phone and she was telling me that she’s tired of this lockdown and she’s missing campus moment that she wants to feel the campus atmosphere.

“I missed our trip to Abuja for an educational excursion, I never walk without her during that moment sometimes I will feel exhausted and she would mock me, truly you’re an iron leader.

“political science and international studies students will never forget our Deputy High Commissioner. Love you, miss you, my heart so thawed, I’m emotionally destroyed, I’m shattered and confused. I still don’t believe you’re gone and forever.

“Rest in peace Ramatu Patricia Bagudu. In my heart, you forever remain.
