ABU ZARIA ANNOUNCES SCREENING DATES FOR 2025/2026 ADMITTED STUDENTS
The management of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria has announced that screening and certificate verification for newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 academic session will take place from December 1 to December 15, 2025, marking the first phase of the exercise. According to the management, the second phase will begin on January 6, 2026.
In a statement signed by the Acting Director of Academic Affairs on behalf of the Registrar, the University urged all affected students to take note of the following guidelines:
First, students are required to visit the University Post-UTME portal and upload necessary documents, including their JAMB results (for UTME candidates), JAMB admission letter, NIN slip, certificate of origin, birth certificate, O’level results, A’level results or certificates (for Direct Entry candidates), and any attestation letter or affidavit if applicable.
Secondly, candidates are expected to present scratch cards or PINs for the verification of their O’level results during physical screening. For A’level verification, original certificates must be presented. In cases where originals are not yet available, a certified true copy will be accepted.
Upon successful screening, students will be granted access to the University portal to generate REMITA for payment of school charges. They will then be able to print their university admission letters and reserve bed spaces through the portal.
The management also cautioned students against selling, buying, or transferring bed spaces, warning that such actions attract penalties.
