A brilliant undergraduate of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria Abdulsalam Abdulsalam has won the prestigious “Gold Award” at the 2023 International Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition!
Abdulsalam who is a 300L student of Mechanical Engineering clinched the prestigious prize at the international Essay Competition with his piece Titled: “Money vs. Mindset: A Dialogue on Personal Development.
The essay which is in the senior category script a dialogue between two people, with contrasting viewpoints, on an an issue that divides generations.
Founded back in 1883, the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition (QCEC) stands as the world’s longest-standing international school writing contest.
This competition serves as an exceptional platform, annually bringing together young talents from across the globe. It encourages the development of creative writing skills amplify the voices of our youth, and exuberantly celebrates their remarkable accomplishments.

He is also skilled in several areas, including effective communication, creative/content writing, public speaking, and leadership. He is a fashion enthusiast who enjoys creative designs, reading books during his free time, and writing.
