A distinguished Abusite, the Walin Kazaure, and permanent secretary Federal Ministry of Defence, Alhaji Babangida Husseini has donated a disinfection machine to his alma mater, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
According to a statement by the Public Affairs Directorate, the machine was handed over to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabir Bala, in Zaria today 7th September, 2020, by Prof. Balarabe Magaji Jahun, The Director, Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Ahmadu Bello University, on behalf of the donor.
Presenting the machine to the Vice-Chancellor, Alhaji Babangida Husseini said he owed the University a lot being an alumnus of the premier institution. The Vice-Chancellor, in his remarks, thanked the donor for the gesture and assured that the machine would be used judiciously.
Who is Alhaji Babangida Husseini?
Alh. Babangida Hussaini is an Expert in Administrative affairs, educational planning, community development service delivery, with strong segmental expertise in Public administrative affairs, policies, and strategic matters; Initiative and implementation ability on public reasonable objectives; Participatory approaches and initiative abilities; Human resources development plans and capacity building; Educational administrative, planning and notional implementation.
He has vast Work experience with administrative and educational consultants, donor-funded organizations, NGOs/CBOs, and international and national bodies.
He started his educational pursuit at Kudu Primary School, Kazaure from 1971 – 1978 acquiring his Primary Leaving certificate. He attended Government Secondary School, Kazaure for his GCE O’Level from 1978-1983.
He proceeded to the Federal School of Arts & Science, Suleja, Niger State from 1983-1985 for his HSC, GCE A’Level, and thereafter secured admission at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1988 to study B.A Hons. Public Administration graduating in 1991. He attended Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna between 2010-2011 for a Master in Public Administration.
He started his working career with the Kano State Health Service Management Board as a Personnel Officer in 1985. He moved to the civil service in the Jigawa State Special Service Directorate (Cabinet Office) as a Senior Personnel Officer in 1994 and rose to the position of Permanent Secretary in 2002.
He served as Executive Chairman (2004- 2005) of Jigawa State Ministry for Basic Education and Resources Development; Executive Chairman (2005- 2007), Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB); Executive Secretary (2007- 2010) Jigawa State Scholarship Board, before moving to the Office of the Head of Civil Service of Jigawa State where he served as Director Administration and Management Services (2010- 2011).
He moved to the federal civil service in 2011 as an Assistant Director in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (AOD) where he has risen to the position of permanent Secretary currently posted to the federal ministry of Defense.
