ABU Polymer and Textile Engineering Dept announce death of Secretary

The Secretary, Department of Polymer and Textile Engineering, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Mr. John Oduh is dead.

Mr. John Oduh a native of Okoto Ugboju in Otukpo local government of Benue State who is described as “a very hard worker, very sincere, committed, and dedicate” was found dead in his room in Zaria yesterday evening and the real cause is not known.

According to sources, the late Mr. Oduh was also the janitor of the department. He accepted the role voluntarily when the janitor was transferred.

Confirming the news to The Abusite earlier today, the Head of Department, Professor Abdulraheem Giwa who described the late Secretary as brother and an adviser said, “I am deeply saddened to inform you of the sudden death of our indefatigable Secretary Mr. John Oduh of Department of Polymer and Textile Engineering, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria who died yesterday evening.

“He was a Secretary per Excellence! He was a very hard worker, very sincere, committed, and dedicated. We will all miss him no doubt.

“Mr. John Oduh was not just a Secretary to me as HoD but a brother and an adviser! He was someone you can give assignments and go to sleep. Everyone that has ever worked with him will testify the same even the past HoDs. I am missing him already!”

May God grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and May his soul rest in peace.
