The statement reads, “two years ago, a new stage in history was set when the 3+2 joint academic program started between the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and the Central South University China.

“A set of selected students from the departments of mechanical and civil engineering who had spent three (3) years in ABU Zaria, we’re sent to complete their remaining two years in CSU China. A landmark achievement which was the first of its kind.

“particularly from the Department of civil engineering, thirty (30) was the number of students selected, half of which were to continue on the path of studying civil engineering, while the remaining half was to study railway engineering. This was in a bid to have professionals in the field so as to champion the stride of connecting the whole country by rail.

“to our 30 students, they were not just the ambassadors of the department, neither just for the faculty nor just for the whole school but for the entire country at large.

“as it is that everything that has a beginning has an end, it has come to the time when they have exhausted the 2yrs and all academic attachments to it. I am proud to say that you have all stood to our expectation and completed with flying colors

“I congratulate you all unbelief of the department and wish you all of you the very best in your future endeavors.

NICESA urge members of the second batch who are halfway into their program and the third batch who are about to depart Nigeria, to emulate the good example set by batch A.

The graduating batch A students are set to return back to Nigeria in July.
