Muktar Abubakar Muhammad: Nigeria’s Youngest Branch Chair in the Universities Trade Union
Comrade Muktar Abubakar Muhammad is the pioneer NASU Chairman, Federal University of Kashere Branch, and a great ambassador of Abusites. He is the Youngest Branch Chairman In the Universities Trade Group Council in Nigeria and proud Winner of the Young Labour Leader of the year award from Airtel Nig.
Muktar was Born on 13th of June 1987 in Tudun Wada Shamaki Ward Gombe, Gombe State. He started his Primary education at Jauro Tudunwada Primary School Gombe, then proceed to Government Arabic College for JSSCE from 2000 to 2003.
He also joined Government Science Secondary School Gombe for SSCE from 2003 to 2006. Muktar obtained his Diploma in Computer Science at the Modibbo Adama University of Technology Yola.
On 20th July 2012, he got an offer of an appointment from the Federal University of Kashere In the ICT Directorate Unit. In 2014, comrade Muktar got an offer of admission to study Computer Science Education in the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU) graduating in 2019.
The young comrade Muktar Abubakar Muhammad who is passionate about good leadership was appointed as Caretaker Branch Chairman of Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) in 2016. He became a full-time trade unionist and also a Most Youngest Branch Chairman In the Universities Trade Group Council in Nigeria.
He was elected as a Substantive Branch Chairman in the year 2017. He attended the Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development Yaba Lagos. He successfully participated in a course on Labour Management Relations.
The young comrade represents the Federal University of Kashere Branch at 7th Quadrennial National Delegate and 8th Rules Conference in 2019. He also attended over 20 Local and International Conferences and Workshops In IT and Labour related courses.

Comrade Muktar Abubakar Muhammad has participated in the school of leadership & National Transformation. He is a Winner of Young Labour Leader of the Year from Airtel Nig.
He has been Commended by the Management of Federal University kashere for his diligence and commitment toward the successful completion assignment given to him as Member Taskforce on Nigeria Universities System Management Portal (NUSMAP).
Comrade Muktar Abubakar Muhammad who is married with children is a member of several committees, professional bodies, and societies including Nigeria Computer Society; University Disciplinary Committee; Committee on Review of Conditions and Scheme of Services; Council Committee on Project Monitoring And Evaluation; Member Council Committee on Budget.
