Government of Mauritius Scholarship 2021-2022 for Nigerian Students (Fully Funded)
The Government of Mauritius has called for applications from suitably qualified students who are resident citizens of member states of the African Union or African Commonwealth countries to apply for the Mauritius Scholarships Scheme 2021.
About Mauritius
Mauritius, officially the Republic of Mauritius, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean about 2,000 kilometers (1,200 mi) off the southeast coast of the African continent, east of Madagascar. It includes the main island (also called Mauritius), as well as Rodrigues, Agaléga, and St. Brandon.
The islands of Mauritius and Rodrigues, along with nearby Réunion (a French overseas department), are part of the Mascarene Islands. The capital and largest city, Port Louis, is located in Mauritius, where most of the population is concentrated. The country spans 2,040 square kilometers (790 sq mi) and has an exclusive economic zone covering 2.3 million square kilometers.
Eligibility and Criteria for Mauritius Scholarship 2021
For undergraduate programs, applicants should be between 18-16yrs of age by the closing date of application. For Master’s programs, applicants should be 35 years and, for those applying for a Ph.D. program should not be more than 40 years by the closing date of application.
Applicants for Mauritius Scholarship 2021-2022 must have already applied for a full-time on-campus program (Diploma, Degree, Master’s, or Ph.D.) at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius (listed in Section 8 in the Guidelines for Applicants) for the academic year starting in 2021.

Program of Studies & Maximum Duration
- Undergraduate Diploma Three (3) years
- Undergraduate Degree Four (4) years
- Master Two (2) years
- MPhil / Ph.D. Four (4) years + 6 months for the transfer from MPhil to PhD
- Ph.D. Three (3) years
Benefits
The Mauritius Scholarship 2021-2022 will support successful candidates in meeting their tuition fees and in contributing to their living expenses during their studies in Mauritius. Furthermore, the scholarship covers a return airfare by the most economical route. This will be valid for travel from the country of origin at the beginning of the studies and back to the country of origin upon successful completion of studies.
All students will be required to undergo a 14-day quarantine upon arrival in Mauritius; the cost of which will be covered under this scheme. The cost of PCR tests will also be met.
Additionally, if any student is tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) upon arrival, the related medical expenses will be covered under this scheme.

I. Guidelines for Applicants: This document contains important information regarding the conditions attached to the scholarship, the application procedure, and a list of public Higher Education Institutions in Mauritius where full-time on-campus studies are run.
II. Application Form (Applicants are invited to fill in the form electronically before printing): Application for the scholarship can only be made on the application form, duly filled-in. Section 5 of the application form should be endorsed and completed by the Nominating Agency in the country of citizenship of the applicant.
Applications that are not made through the Nominating Agency of the respective countries will not be entertained.
All candidates must submit the fully completed Application form and documents listed under section 6 as part of their application to the Federal Scholarship Board, Abuja on or before the 26th of May, 2021. Applicants MUST be Nigerian.

• Good WAEC result for Undergraduate with mostly As Master and PhD, minimum of second class Upper (2.1)
