The Republic of Estonia has called for applications for its ESD Scholarship 2021/2022 Programme for young diplomats and civil servants.
Estonia, officially known as the Republic of Estonia is a country in Northern Europe. It is bordered to the north by the Gulf of Finland across from Finland, to the west by the Baltic Sea across from Sweden, to the south by Latvia, and to the east by Lake Peipus and Russia.
The country consist of the mainland and of 2,222 islands on the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea covering a total area of 45,227 km2 (17,462 sq mi), and is influenced by a humid continental climate. Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, and Tartu are the largest cities and urban areas in the country. The official language of the Estonian is Finnic.
2021/2022 ESD Scholarship details
The 2021/2022 ESD Scholarship Programme is offered by the ESTONIAN SCHOOL OF DIPLOMACY (ESD) in co-operation with the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and covers the 2021/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR. It is a full scholarship programme designed specifically for Diplomats and Civil Servants to study for a Postgraduate Certificate program in International Relations and European Integration taking place at ESD in Tallinn, from September 2021 until May 2022. - Monthly Allowances (450 EUR)
- Accommodation in Tallinn ( incl. utilities and internet connection)
- Health insurance in Estonia during the studies
- Cost of Schengen Visa
- The scholarship does NOT cover the costs of travel to and from Tallinn.
- The person should come from a country eligible for ODA
- Have at least a BA degree
- Have a good command of English
- Is currently employed by their country’s foreign or civil service, and has been working for at least one year, etc.
Application documents can be submitted by using the online scholarship application system. Applications must get to ESD by 31st May 2021 latest. Skype interviews will be conducted for shortlisted candidates. All candidates will be informed by email about their enrolment status latest on 18 June 2021. Selected participants are expected to arrive in Tallinn on September 10-12, 2021.
