The King Saud University Scholarship is now open for eligible and qualified international students willing to study in Saudi Arabia.

The King Saud University Scholarship is a fully-funded award with a full exemption of students from tuition fees, accommodation, and study costs, as well as an extra $266 annual reward for excellent academic performance.

The King Saud University scholarship also offers selected candidates airfare return tickets to their home countries and adequate medical care throughout the period of the programme.

Scholarship Details:

Arabic Linguistics Institute at King Saud University is pleased to announce the schedule of scholarships application according to the university schedule.

The scholarship is a Diploma of proficiency in Arabic for male and female non-native speakers to pursue a Diploma degree in the Language and Culture Department.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the King Saud University Scholarship, you must:

• must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• have on the average, a very good secondary school certificate 
  have not previously studied in a similar program in Saudi Arabia.
• be medically fit.
• not be more than twenty-five (25) years.
• must have (a close family member) residency in the Saudi Arabia or applying for the scholarship  (Female applicants) 

Scholarship Duration and Reward

• A monthly stipend is similar to a reward given to Saudi students in the same stage.
• An amount of (1000) Saudi Riyal is given to the student as an excellence reward in case of getting excellent marks in every academic year.
• The student is given an economy class ticket to come to the Kingdom for the first time, a round trip ticket at the end of each academic to his country, and a one-way ticket at the end of his studying.
• The student will live in the university dorm free of charge.
• Free treatment will be provided to the student in all university hospitals
• A reduction in the value of the student’s books weight at the end of his study on Saudi Arabian Airlines.

Required Documents

To apply for King Saud University Scholarship, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

• Application Form
• International Passport
• Original copies of academic transcripts
• Recommendation letters
• a color copy of the original high school certificate.

• The submitted documents should be fully ratified and authenticated by the following authorities:
  • The Ministry of Education in the country from which the secondary certificate was issued or its substitute
        b) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its representative in the country where the secondary certificate was issued
  •  The documents submitted for the equivalency should be free from Any scraping or modification in its data and that the name of the owner is identical to his name in his previous study documents and in the passport.
    If you do not complete the above requirements, your application will be disqualified.

Method of Application

Step 1: Go to the application website

Start your application by going to the official webpage of the scholarship link. When you are on the page, you can switch between two languages – English and Arabic for an easier process.

Step 2: Fill the required information with the right details

Here, you will be required to fill in your personal details such as your International Passport expiry date and ID number. Also, a 6 digits code will be generated for you, input the code correctly, password, email address, home address, phone numbers, and so on.

Note: when you are creating your password, ensure it’s digit numbers throughout, do not include a letter.

Step 3: Check your email inbox for username and password details

Go to your mail inbox for your username and password details from the university. Now go back to the website and click on login. Enter your username and password to proceed to the next step of the application.

Step 4: Upload your documents

Here, you are required to upload your files which include academic credentials and international passport.

After the files has been successfully uploaded into your portal, go to the final stage of the scholarship application.

Step 5: Select majors

To select your program of preference, please follow these steps:

• Select the program of choice from the left box, then move it to the right box by using the right arrow.
• You can also rearrange your programs after selection using the up or down arrow.

You are expected to choose the following: Type of study (Regular/non-regular), Degree type (Diploma), Semester (first or second), Personal interviews ( Arabic Linguistics Institute Interview or Arabic Linguistic Institute), then the university which is King Saud University. If you are sure you have selected the preferred program, please click on the ‘Save’ button to move on.
