Ahmadu Bello University is the premier institution of higher learning in Northern Nigeria and is situated in Zaria. The University campus has two grounds one in Samaru and the other in Kongo. Take a flight to Kaduna if coming from Lagos and then take a one hour road trip by bus or car to get to Zaria. Zaria is very conservative about dressing and this spills into the University campus, men in shorts and women with uncovered hair are generally frowned upon.
