African Association of Polymer Scientists Appoints ABU Professor as Pioneer President

A prominent Professor and lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University’s Department of Chemistry, Paul Mamza, FPIN, FICCON, FCSN has been appointed by the African Association of Polymer Scientists and Engineers as its Pioneer President.

The immediate past National President of the Polymer Institute of Nigeria was unanimously appointed during the First African International Conference on Polymer Science and Technology held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi – Ghana.

Prof Mamza, a respected Professor of Polymer Science and Technology holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, an M.Sc, and a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Technology all from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

The prominent scholar started his teaching career at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1991 were to rise to become a professor in 2015.

He is the First National President, Polymer Institute of Nigeria from the Northern part of Nigeria. He was until this election in 2015.
