Adamu Mamman Kontagora: Presidential Candidate of the FCE Kontagora Alumni Association

Adamu Mamman kontagora was born in kontagora local Government area of Niger state. He started his childhood education at maidubu primary school kontagora between 1975/1980 where he obtained his first school leaving certificate.

After successfully passing his common entrance examination in 1981, Malam Adamu was enrolled in the Government science teachers college wushishi where he obtained his Teachers Grade II certificate between 1981/1986.

He proceeded to the federal college of education kontagora where he studied from 1987 to 1990 obtaining his Nigeria certificate on Education (NCE mathematics) between 1987/1990.

In his quest for further knowledge, He applied and was admitted into the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria to study pure and applied mathematics and successfully graduated as one of the best student Class of 1994/1995

Adamu Mamman kontagora was posted for his NYSC to AFO IN ISE local Government area where he taught mathematics in a community school. 21yrs After his youth service, he was honored as a chief in the cabinet of the KABEYESI OF AFO LAND with a title which translates as the SARKIN YAKI OF AFO LAND. According to the council, Mallam Adamu was given the title “because of the contribution he rendered towards the development of the area during his youth service corps 21years back.”

Inclined towards Academics, Adamu Mamman kontagora began his working career as a classroom teacher at Kaliko primary school where he served to the rank of Assistant headmaster, A teacher at Government Girls unity college kontagora between 1999/1991, he also serves as a teacher at model primary and secondary school kontagora between 1991/1992.

Adamu Mamman kontagora continues his teaching career as a lecturer at Niger state polytechnic between 1992/1997 before joining the staff of the oil and gas free zone, onne port, Authority Rivers state where he has risen to his current position of Head of Department, Trade, and investment.

He is currently a member National consultative forum of the ABU Zaria Alumni Association as well as chairman of the ABU Zaria Alumni Association Rivers State chapter.

Mallam Adamu is an active member and the frontline Presidential candidate, Federal college of education kontagora Alumni association.

He is equally an active Active member of the kontagora Emirate youth development Association (KEYODA), maidubu primary school old boys Association, Government science teachers college wushishi old boys Association among others.

Adamu Mamman kontagora has a long list of awards. They include his award as the best performing ALUMNI chairman in Nigeria in 2017 (representing ABU Zaria), Award as the best performing Alumni chairman in the south-south by the former Delta State Governor, and award as one among the five most distinguished and active member of federal college of education kontagora Alumni Association in 2017.

Adamu Mamman kontagora has attended and presented papers in many local and international conferences, exhibitions, and trade and investment seminars among which are; International trade and investment forum Achi, Nagoya, JAPAN, Gulf of Guinea Oil and Gas conference LONDON.

Others include Offshore Technology conference Houston, TEXAS IN USA; Offshore Technology conference RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Nigeria-Canada; Trade and investment forum TORONTO, CANADA; Investment opportunity in the oil and gas free zones as a catalyst for economic growth.

Adamu Mamman kontagora was part of the effort that brought the international conference on practical local content by the UK group, CWC to Onne Rivers State in 2010

His Objectives for FCE Kontagora Alumni Association:

Adamu Mamman kontagora isn’t just interested in the presidency of the FCE Kontagora Alumni Association. He is aspiring to the position to make an impact that will stand the test of time. Below are a few of his plans:

• Establishment of state branches of FCE Kontagora Alumni Association all over the federation and outside

• Establishment of new structures, rehabilitating and duplicating of industrial infrastructures.

• Mentoring programs, externship and internship opportunities, job placement programmes networking.

• Designing the Federal College of Education Kontagora Alumni Association’s official website and various platforms that will easily connect its members all over the world.

• Reviving the means of identification of the Alumni members of the college ( ID Card)

• Establishment of chapter offices in each school/department of the college to ease accession to members of the Alumni and students

• Awakening the struggle for the conversion of federal college of education kontagora into federal University of education kontagora

Adamu mamman Kontagora is a man of definite purpose, visionary par excellence, a leader extraordinaire whose doggedness and strong convictions will never allow him to be compromised in the collective struggle to rescue the federal college of education Kontagora Alumni Association from rulership and misplaced governance.

Adamu Mamman kontagora is so much loved because he is a child of promise and a child of destiny whose entire career is marked by consistent and unassailable conquests over anti-democratic forces, retrogressive elements, and the evil marauders in the corridor of power who occasionally pretend as friends but could not hide their character as sworn enemies when the chips are down.

Adamu mamman Kontagora who, among his contemporaries has been the most celebrated for his outstanding achievements and the most applauded as a political icon with deep intellectual prowess, which also made him have uniquely surrounded himself with men and women of great intellect, seasoned essayists, political activists and scholars of national and international pedigree because only the deep can call to the deep.

I dread his consummate leadership strategy, his intimidating political profile, and his highly expansive political network that has continued to give his opponents sleepless nights. This was the man that was nationally acclaimed as the last man standing in the south-south Alumni chairman of the various institution representing ABU Zaria.

Adamu mamman Kontagora as a close associate and co-traveler of his for over two decades now, he has never ceased to amaze me by his constant penchant and quest for new ideas. His administrative acumen is matchless.

As a member of the ABU Zaria Alumni Association national consultative forum and Alumni chairman Zaria Rivers State branch for a long period, Malam Adamu practically laid the foundation for the rapid transformation of ABU Zaria Alumni Association from a metropolitan Alumni Association to a model mega Association and most active Alumni Association in Nigeria.

His love by the Alumnus of the federal college of education kontagora flows from his uncompromising stance on the side of progress. His positions on matters pertaining to the rule of law and fundamental human rights are not only consistent but are non-negotiable. He is a man of the people and a man on the right side of history.

Adamu Mamman kontagora is a man borne out of the fact that he is never ever distracted from pursuing the laudable vision and selfless goal of helping on daily basis to chart a new course for our Association to liberate the Association, and uncertainty that are products of bad governance, policy summersault, and integrity deficit.

Here is a man that is never perturbed or ruffled by the obtuse ranting and misguided vituperations of his detractors as he has always remained focused. I suspect this is, most likely, the secret of his outstanding and matchless accomplishments in virtually all areas of life: in politics, he is a quintessential leader and elder statesman of national and international repute.

However, I will like to present to you the candidacy of Adamu Mamman kontagora as the presidential candidate, federal college of education kontagora Alumni association. A vote for Malam Adamu mamman Kontagora and his line up in the Liberal progressive team is a vote for progress and development of our Alumni Association.
