ABUSRC Bids Farewell to Usman Waziri, Its Capacitated President

The students of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria have bid farewell to their young and charismatic leader comrade Usman Waziri whose tenure as President of the Ahmadu Bello University students Representative Council – ABUSRC has come to an end.

In a statement released by the ABUSRC media, the students described comrade Waziri Usman as a great leader who exemplified excellence and a boss who used his authority to catapult ABU students towards success. “We may get new leadership, but that doesn’t mean we will get a leader who inspires us as you did. Your next job will be lucky to have you. We will miss you!”

“Comrade Usman Waziri was not only a competent leader but also a result-oriented who has a strong history of achievement and performance. He has transformed SRC in many ways, thus pioneering the innovation of many projects and programs in ABU. For us, it was a tenure of unprecedented work.” The statement added

Many students have attested that Comrade Usman Waziri led a successful administration within a limited period of time. During which he recorded some quality achievements that positively impacted the students and university at large.

Prominent on the list of achievements of the Usman Waziri administration was the first-ever SRC Skills Acquisition Program & Entrepreneurship Summit which had over 2000 participants and impacted thousands more.

It was also during his ABUSRC administration that the highly successful Abu Grand Cultural Carnival was held, the first-ever cultural event of that size to be independently organized by a university in northern Nigeria. This successful cultural event was aimed at celebrating all the diverse local and international cultures present in ABU and to promote peace and unity. The event gained huge acceptance by people in ABU and beyond.

The Comrade Usman Waziri led ABUSRC administration also hosted a lot of prominent programs and events that had direct impacts on ABU students and the university community at large. Some of which include;
