The Alumni Relations Unit under the Directorate of University Advancement, Ahmadu Bello University has commenced Online Registration of ABU Alumni.
The registration done via a dedicated portal is part of the Alumni Relations Unit’s sole responsibility of building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.
The mission of the Directorate of University Advancement is to “facilitate the sustainable attainment of the primary goals of teaching, research and community service through building greater relationships with alumni and friends of Ahmadu Bello University, and establishing mutually beneficial relationships with donors and partner organizations.”
Made up of 600,000+ strong men and women of substance, the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni is the single most powerful university Alumni body in sub-Saharan Africa. The Alumni has dominated all sectors in Nigeria producing a President, two First Ladies, the highest number of governors, Ministers, heads of government agencies. etc
Currently, ABU ALUMNI occupies the following strategic positions; The Highest Number of ministers (13); The highest number of governors (8); President, UN General Assembly; Secretary-General of OPEC; Nigerian Senate President; Chief Justice of Nigeria; Secretary to the government of the Federation; Heads of Security Agencies – Police, DSS, Immigration, Civil Defense, Prisons, etc
Others include Heads of 40+ Govt agencies; the Highest number of Federal perm secs; Highest Number of Supreme Court Judges; President of the Appeals court; 18+ Vice-Chancellors in Nigeria; Accountant General of the Federation; Auditor General of the federation, etc
The latest step by the Directorate of University Advancement is aimed at helping the University acquire a comprehensive record and up-to-date database of all Abusites.
How to register on the ABU Alumni Online Registration Portal
To register on the ABU Alumni Online Registration Portal, Abusites are required to visit the DUA website: https://dua.abu.edu.ng/alumni-registration/, the registration process is in six (6) stages and you are required to update your details like name, year of entry and graduation, registration number, email, phone number, address, occupation, etc
You are also required to fill in your department, faculty, and course of study. You are to attach your recent photo or passport photograph at the end before submission. Click here to register👉 REGISTER HERE
