A year without our brother Sulaiman Muhammad

On 7th July. 2019 we lost him. A year without our brother Sulaiman Muhammad is one of the most traumatic days of my life. I invited him for my wedding and he honored not knowing that it has come to an end.
He came with Kufaina Muhammad and Abdussalam Abdurrashid and we picked them up to their lodge, despite busy schedules of the wedding we had a series of talks, we gisted a lot from spiritual to physical Dayyib Shehu Mairiga can recall some.
We remember struggles back then in ABU Zaria and a lot more. His plans were to seize this opportunity to visit Yola after the wedding from Gombe, a state he served during his NYSC, he approached me as he does always with our side talks.
He said, “advise me please, should I allow Mal. Kufaina to go back to zaria or I should hold him back here in Gombe so that when I returned from Yola”. We all went back to Kano together, we all knew that kufaina had very tight schedules of markings, supervision, and attending to his project students.
So I suggested that he should please free Mal. Kufaina and from Yola will just have to get to Kano direct to see his Father (Malam) who was admitted to Aminu Kano Teaching hospital receiving treatment, immediately he left for Zikr Jumaat. That’s all.
What could be as a thunderstorm by 05:15pm approximately on Sunday the 7th of July 2019 was a call from Malam Kufaina, as usual, ‘Sidi ina gajiya” I answered, he said, ” nakira zakiru dazu yacemun Yana Gombe karfe daya zasuci abinci su qaraso Kano in jirashi kafin in koma Zaria, da na Kira wayansa sai wani ya dauka yace Mai wayannan sunyi hatsari Anan wajen Takai Amma ayi haquri Ya Rasu” innalillahi wa Inna ilaihi Raajiun.

I said no, we need to confirm as the first contact, all I could hear and feel from head to toe was that my joints can no longer hold me, my body temperature falls below zero degrees, when I started melting was nothing but tears, all manners of fluids from nose to mouth uncontrollable, by these signal am down and am sure a friend in Allah has met his Lord.
Sulaiman holds B.A Ed. And M.A Ed. In Arabic all from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. Sulaiman was a complete Human being, with noble character, God-fearing and a friend to all.
He left when those around him need him most, he left a gap that seems difficult to fill but he served all his purpose. Alhamdulillah for his life. Allah Qara taraqqi a Barzak. WalAbdulillh.
